An exciting new voice in Utah is speaking out against Utah Governor Herbert’s land grab, and they are asking Utah citizens to help them.

Please go to www.forkidsandlands.org and add your name.

“For Kids and Lands” is an informal group of educators, community leaders, and other citizens who care about Utah’s kids and landscapes.  In their words, “We came together because we are concerned that efforts by the state of Utah to assert ownership over publicly-owned federal lands in Utah would not benefit – in fact would harm – both of these precious resources.”

Later this spring the group plans to publicly present their position statement opposing the land grab – hopefully signed by you – to Utah Governor Herbert.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Go to www.forkidsandlands.org and add you name.
  • Send us a digital photo of you or your friends outside on Utah’s federal landscapes – BLM lands in the desert or US Forest Service lands in the mountains.  Photos with kids are especially great!  We will share these photos with “For Kids and Lands” so they can pass them along to Governor Herbert!
  • Attend the April 11 meeting of “For Kids and Lands”.  For more info: forkidsandlands@gmail.com

Please help this terrific group tell Governor Herbert: Don’t Take Our Public Lands!
