Looking to spend less time on your phone? Perhaps you're a Utahn and sick of your representatives not listening to you? Here are some additional ways to participate in the #protectwildutah movement:
--Get creative with it! Create some art or share a piece you already have to be used in an interactive map for Grand Staircase-Escalante. This can range from short stories of your experience on the monument, to quick sketches, to your fav photographs! Email files to loveforgse@suwa.org.
--Join a stewardship project this April and get out on the land! We have tons of awesome projects coming up, check the deets at: suwa.org/projectcalendar

Our Stewardship Program is looking for organized g

Our Stewardship Program is looking for organized groups, student clubs and classes, alternative break programs, independent associations and more to invite on our 2026 slate of volunteer projects on public lands in Utah. We invite you to learn more about the places—and issues—most affecting our precious wild places through direct, hands-on experience.

Scholarships are available by need. Our team works hard to match your group with the right experience. Consider joining SUWA in the field in 2026. Start by reviewing our calendar of events at suwa.org/projectcalendar—where you can also learn more about our program.

On Wednesday, Utah Senator Mike Lee and Representa

On Wednesday, Utah Senator Mike Lee and Representative Celeste Maloy introduced House Joint Resolution 151 and Senate Joint Resolution 109 under the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to undo the current Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument Management Plan.

If successful, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will be barred from issuing another plan that is similar in the future. This would be a devastating blow to the monument on the ground and set a dangerous precedent for public lands across the nation.

--Talk to people in your life who love public lands and encourage them to take action too, 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝘁𝗮𝗵! (Since the entire Utah delegation supports this effort).
--Share out on social media!
--Get artsy with us! The fight to protect public lands is a long one, but art is a part of this movement too. Share your stories of Grand Staircase-Escalante with us by emailing loveforgse@suwa.org and join in a collective project to celebrate our love for the monument!
