Día de Los Muertos Celebration
October 27, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 6:00 pm UTC-6
Each year around Día de Los Muertos, Monarch Butterflies make way to the fur-clad mountains of central Mexico. It is said that with the Monarchs come the spirits of the deceased returning home at this sacred time.
Meet SUWA at the Día de Los Muertos Celebration to participate in festivities, learn about conserving Utah’s priceless wild landscapes, and make a monarch butterfly to remember the day by.
Four volunteers are needed to help run the SUWA booth. Volunteering includes getting postcard signatures, helping event patrons make butterflies, and sharing why you love the lands of southern Utah with others.
If you can help, please email Olivia@SUWA.org or call 801-236-3774.
Admission to el Día de Los Muertos Celebration is $5, and free for ages 12 and under.
See you there!
