Blue Valley Spires

May 8 - May 9

The Land

South of the San Rafael Reef reside a conglomerate of magnificent landscapes cut by rivers and split by deep networks of canyons. From the Dirty Devil to the Henry Mountains to Factory Butte, these lands feature a diverse array of wilderness-quality lands. The region is rife with magnificent natural features. One such site, fancied by social media photographers is experiencing rapid degradation of the lands and soils that surround it. It goes by several names. We call it the Blue Spire.

The Work

We will build a post and rail fence to delineate the end of motorized travel and the start of a walking trail to visit this sensitive site. The fence will uphold existing travel boundaries along the edge of BLM land.

**This project is open for registration but pends BLM approvals to complete on the dates provided. Applicants will be notified of any changes.
